Peter Scarf
BOARD MEMBER, BA (Media and Communications) UNSW
With extensive executive management, venture capital, and corporate finance and advisory experience, Peter has both founded and invested in numerous companies (both listed and unlisted) in Australia, the US, and Europe. He is skilled in media and technology, large scale property development and infrastructure.
Peter started his career in the film industry as an actor on TV shows Home & Away, Wildside, Water Rats, and Underbelly. He graduated from the University of New South Wales and has since been involved in the finance and development of numerous film and television projects. Most recently he executive produced The Duke starring Helen Mirren and Jim Broadbent, directed by Roger Michell, and has a number of projects in development.
He co-founded RightsTrade - the world’s largest online film and television marketplace servicing over 30,000 members across 14,000 leading film and television sales, production and distribution companies.
Peter's father, Charles A. Scarf, established the FoodBank in Australia and was instrumental in FoodBank's establishment in India. Peter hopes to continue to contribute to his father's philanthropic and charity work and sits on the Board of Directors of non-profit Australians In Film where he previously acted as Treasurer.
