Stand Tall Sydney 2021

information for teachers and parents

Working with educators, Stand Tall addresses national high school curriculum outcomes for PDHPE by gathering world class athletes, popular musicians, and inspirational speakers, who all share their life experiences in a relevant and relatable way to Australian teenagers. One massive day of positive input into a young Australian can change a life.

Students hear the messages of hope from a variety of speakers who have either faced major adversities, or set themselves incredible goals and have the gone on to lead amazing lives. Each speaker addresses certain topics, such as resilience, dealing with bullying, the power of perspective, etc, so students are impacted by a topic relevant to them, depending on their individual circumstances.

Independent research has shown that the impact of the event is immediate but also long-lasting. Many students choose to change their lives and perspectives from what they have heard in that one Stand Tall day, with these changes still evident years later. Whole schools and year cohorts have also felt the ongoing impacts of Stand Tall with school cultures changing as a result.
